Calculation of the costs of the Arbitration Proceedings
The costs of arbitration proceedings are fixed in accordance with the Decision on Costs of Proceedings of the Kosovo Arbitration Rules - 2011. The costs are based on the amount in dispute, and the number of arbitrators, and they consist of the fees of the arbitral tribunal, the administrative costs of the arbitration institution, and other reasonable costs incurred during the proceedings by the institution and the arbitral tribunal (e.g. expert advice, travel expenses of the arbitrators or witnesses, costs of hearings, if held outside of premises of the arbitration institution, translation services). The Permanent Tribunal of Arbitration/KCC determines the amount to be paid by the parties as advance costs. As a rule, the institution requests from each of the parties to each pay half of the advance.
